WATCH

Ahoy: Gilbert & Sullivan's popular musical "The Pirates of Penzance" got the ultimate campy treatment in 1982's "The Pirate Movie." Now the cult "classic," starring former teen dream Christopher Atkins and Kristy McNichol, is out on DVD ($19.95) with extras such as commentary from director Ken Annakin as well as the theatrical trailer. (For other DVDs released today, see "Best Bets" on this page.)

Death becomes you: It sounds grim, but the Blog of Death (www.blogofdeath.com) is simply an informal obituary collection. The site, written by Seattle-based Jade Walker, is updated almost daily and features obits on actors, authors, athletes, politicians and other notables. There also are links to newspaper and Web site obits from around the world.

Girl trouble: Wondering what happened to Fiona Apple's latest album, "Extraordinary Machine"? After Sony shelved the Jon Brion-produced disc - reportedly for its lack of commercial appeal - fans took up the cause to "free" their favorite singer from major-label purgatory. Join the movement at www.freefiona.com and sign the petition, download posters and read updates.
