TV REVIEW: Klein, Mol shine in Hallmark's 'Valley of Light'
(SH) - In "The Valley of Light" (9 p.m. EST/PST Sunday, CBS), set in
1946 North Carolina, Noah Locke, a 28-year-old World War II veteran
who earned the Purple Heart, returns to the States. His parents are
dead. His only family is a brother, Travis, whom he visits in prison.
Noah has no place to go. And so he ends up an itinerant fisherman.

TV REVIEW: Time to grit your teeth and hang on for '24'
(SMW) - OK, here's one of the things you gotta love about "24."
A guy escapes from a prison bus in a rural area outside of Los Angeles. He takes a while reaching his fellow bad guys, then tells them, "I had to be careful crossing town." Total time elapsed: nine minutes.
TV REVIEW: 'Extras' finds new life in its second season
(SH) - In its second season, "Extras" (returning 11 p.m. EST/PST Sunday,
HBO) is going from a mediocre sitcom to a brilliant one.
There's clarity to the writing that was missing in the first
season. It's far sharper and wittier than just about any other comedy
on today.
TV REVIEWS: Two HBO series premiere second - and final - seasons
(SH) - Two and out. That's the motto for a couple of returning HBO series that premiere their second and final seasons Sunday.
"Rome" was done in, most likely, by its extremely high production
cost. "Extras" executive producer Ricky Gervais said two was enough
for his latest series, just as it was for the original British version
of "The Office."
